Showed up at a farm in Elma, Washington.
My friend says:
This poor young guy has been taking refuge in an abandoned barn at my friends’ new farm. He been roaming around for some time so he is skinny and his paws are sore, he needs a place to settle down that he can call his own. He is extremely sweet and friendly; he knows Sit, Down, Shake and goes into the kennel when asked. If you know of anyone that are missing a GSD in the area or someone looking for a dog that will make an awesome friend please let me know.
If he sounds/looks familiar, or you might know someone looking to give him a home, let me know, and I'll forward you on to the correct person.
(Note, I haven't personally seen this dog--I'm on the other side of the country.)

Have them check for a microchip, if he is a former rescue dog he will have one in him, I know of 2 rescues in Washington that should take him or I can take him in here in Montana.

Also check and post tattoo. That and the microchip should be the 1st checked for.

Is he wearing a collar? The one picture looks like it. I will forward to some people I know in that area.

If you dont find the owner I know just a person who will take him, give him a home and train him!!!

Is someone feeding him in the mean time? He is horrible thin!!! Too thin if he is in a cold climate!

The woman moving into the farm where he is now is feeding him--the day they found him he got hamburgers, he was going to get some dog food today. I've asked for a bit more info to pass on.

Is he safely confined somewhere? It would be a shame if he disappeared like that other poor stray GSD did.
If they need money to board the dog to keep him safe until rescue can take him, I'll be happy to help out. He looks like such a sweet dog.
