 idjaz1791, very good information especially the deworming and bacteria tests, breeding after all is not a minor thing, maybe that is why it is not for every one. Good luck tarek.

OK, just to throw a spanner in the works, this is the history of my female who just whelped 9 puppies13/12/10

My girls are never the same.

Day 16 of heat ---Progesterone  = 1nmol
left her for 7 days as she is always slow to rise
Day 23                   Progesterone = 38nmol my vet said I had missed her, don't waste you time traveling.
Rung the stud owner who said don't worry she is perfect.
Day 24 mated.

Result was that she delivered 9 puppies on day 60.
Speaking to the stud owner who said that she did/t whelp early she whelped on time as she must have ovulated 3 days prior to the mating therefore her eggs would have been ripe and ready, which to me makes sense.

For me progesterone testing is the only way to go even though I have a male here I do a progesterone test 2 days after he starts to sing.
