I am so excited about my first grand baby! I just had to share with someone. She was born on August 6th and weighed 14 ounces. She is now about 6 pounds and finally home. She still requires a very minimum amount of oxygen, but otherwise is healthy in every way! Truly a Christmas miracle.

What a wonderful and incredible story of your grand-daughter's journey into the world. Amazing that she could be so tiny, and what an absolute beauty she is now. You did not mention her name?

Thank you to everyone for the kind words and well wishes. Cambry was born at 24 weeks, 4 days gestation due to pre eclampsia. It was not all that long ago that her chances for survival at 14 ounces and 6 months gestation would have been zero (i was a NICU nurse waay back). She has been a fighter from day one. I believe, due to facebook and the Internet in general, there were prayers for her worldwide, which were heard. We feel blessed to have her home! Thanks again, everyone.
