OMG, I am so upset today with my neighbors and myself.  I live in a rural area west of Phoenix.  Some of my neighbors about 1/8 mile from where my ranch is own "many pit bulls", now I am not picking on pit bulls or any breed for that matter.  I am targeting dog ownership and responsibility.  These people on occasion just turn their dogs out to run....to run everywhere.

Today, the dogs were out, came to my ranch, and started going after all my stock horses, baby calves... everything.  Not thinking I head right  out the door screaming at these dogs and heading towards them.  About thirty seconds into to my approach a big big blue male, heads straight for me ( now I am about 5'7 and 135 pounds, for real...LOL ).  He was not playing around with me.  Thank the Lord my closest neighbor was home, out back of his place and he heard all the fuss.  He started running towards me and my place to run this dog and the other 4 or 5 off.

The owner's walk up and said "not one kind word".  I told them what had just happened, all they could say to me was don't touch
%$%^ my dogs, you...^(&(*)(!@#  and made a gesture that I was number one.

So, I am standing there revisiting my tachycardia thoughts on this mater, after I checked to see if I pissed myself ( No, Don Corleone,  I didn't....LOL ).  These dogs were turned out/loose to run,  went after my stock on my property, then me and my good neighbor, the owners walk up cuss me out, told me not to touch his dogs.  WHAT WAS I THINKING ...? ( rhetorical )  I am more mad at myself for just not shooting the dogs.

What is wrong with people?

Okay, I just got off the phone with the Sheriffs office, they referred me to Animal Control.  Animal Control tells me, unless the dogs bites me or anyone else on my property or killed any stock there was nothing they could.  Now, they did say, "bless their hearts",  if you can catch the dog or dogs and hold them they will come pick them up, this lady tell me this just after I told her about the dog coming after me and my good neighbor, with a clear intention to bite.

But the glass is half full.  Give me time and I will think what it is or needs to be half full of....

I was living in Arkansas and a neighbor had some young calves in a fenced field. another neighbor had a couple of his dogs get thru the fence and had a calf down. He walked out with a shot gun a killed both dogs. When the other neighbor came over to see what happened to his dogs, he said he didn't like what had happened to his dogs. The neighbor that owned the calf (still holding the shot gun) just looked at him real calmly and told him. Mr  I don't think a damn bit more of you than than I do you're dogs laying there. I dont know how things are in Arizona but where I live if something comes on you're property you own em

Hank,

You are so right.  Sad, thing is, its the last thing I would want to do is shoot someones dogs.  That big blue male, was not offering to square dance with me.  He was going to bite me.  Thank the Lord for my good neighbor.  Don't these dogs have some unbelievable bite per square inch or something?

If I would have been out back choring, I always have some of the dogs with me.  I am sure they would have killed my dogs.

Any dog that chases livestock is lucky to get a second chance at life.......  Glad you're okay.  Next time have something to protect yourself and livestock with........

in my state, if it chases livestock, it gets shot.
not saying it was ok for him to go after you, but God forbid they go after a child next.  they wouldn't have a long life span if they were near me.

Mercy me    same thing happening here at my sons...I filed on the owner Weds with Gal CO SO..His white bull has attacked the neighbors leg, my friends tires and put a hole in the tires while truck running...down the road..and has pooped in front yard for over 4 years..Time to end it all..The filth coming out of his mouth warranted a call to SO and down to the court clerk I and the neighbors went...

By the time I went home...someone else had called and offi\cers were in front of sons house to confront same owner...

Animal control will be subpeoned as they have DONE NOTHING about this ongoing problem...Now I have spoken..I am not afraid of the owner who has terriorized a whole neighborhood..his own family and many others...To my surprise and glee, his daughter and father and another neighbor showed up to meet with the Officials ...Time to clean the neighborhood..I will not get bit nor my germans put in danger for one more minute...

Only thing is...court date is not set.. The Judge was out of town and will be notified in the mail when they get it on the docket..sometime after Third weds in January when I can go back to Gal.CO>>.So   now is the time for all good people to   GET BUSY >>>

this is not my sons dog  but you see him pooping in his yard by his banana trees  . the white bull is right around the truck...both dogs are mean and never kept up   never!!!

Marinemom, Thank God for your neighbor! I am relieved that you are alright. Those dogs sound quite dangerous. Irresponsivle owners should lose their dogs and the right to ownership. The attitudes these owners expressed is what makes this situation even more atrocious. I agree with the others about carrying a gun. You have a right to protect your property and self. Renee

Local SO won't do anything as it is on leased private property and the Animal control will not either..So I was told to get dog and bring it in....over MY dead body preferably the dogs...NOT gonna happen...

So the Court will now get to spend their money to hear a case   that need not be in the system..I am not gonna fire a shot out here...I do not live here.... BUt my dogs are here on cables...here is a pic of the white bull dog on my sons property  picture is dated...

The man swears his dog never comes on anyones property....Proof is all in the pudding..My son has pictures back to 2008 enlarged and on a cd disc for the court.

Picture shows the white bull dog standing on my sons leased property by his barn...

If any of us or neighbors approach this white dog it charges you and because he only has a top jaw he has a hard time getting your leg  but will and put holes in your leg..or foot...so not me nor anyone else needs this abuse against the dog laws ...Everyone is afraid of the owner of the dog...He called me about 5 new names last Weds and Thurs outside the courthouse thinking  he would scare me...but didnt do anything but cause the authorities to say ....Stupidity and get a recording and then it steps up to instead of disorderly conduct by verbal threat to an added charge of retrobution for testifying or witnessing an event which can be classified as a Felony if it is bold enough and shows bodily harm to that person....   Equipment is in place to do that...all over a LOOSE BULL DOG who is chasing and trespassing all over a 5 block area.
