I read all the time , my dog has a white spot . my dog has a white patch . my dog is this and that. try not to pay atteintion to that .. your dog dose not care if you are white black brown or a mix between all of the above... all i am trying to say is love your dog and u well get the same back ...... your dog is not thinking Dose he have small ears . is that a birth mark .. you know ??? anyways .,,,,,, have a great day. and give your dog a hug today..... ps. i have a few beautifull shepherds. one has a tiny white patch on her chest. the other has as a big white patch . lol he is still a shepherd smart . protective and loving to my children what most of us Common people want in a german shepherd...... please excuse my gramer . as i already know that there is a lot of corrections that need to be made but i am sure u all understand my point ?

People discuss breeding to the breed standard and their successes and variations all the time and there is nothing wrong with that. If nobody cared at all about the white patches or the ears, we'd soon have German Shepherds who, as a breed, would all be floppy-eared, piebald, and shaggy.

Nothing wrong with floppy-eared, shaggy dogs, either, but that's not what a German Shepherd Dog is.
