Beautiful dog. Looks like my Katie. I rescued her 7 years ago. She is 9 now and I love her soooo much.

Pretty dog. I'm glad to see one with a straight back as well.....

would I be wrong to assume your dog has some white lines in the background?
nothing wrong with that, I just typically associate the color with colored/white breedings. got a pedigree?

interesting you would feel the need to post your pride in such a manner. Enjoy your dog she looks very pampered and well groomed.

With so many negative opinions on the GSPD of American bred, I just wanted to show that good ones do exist. This is my old male-yes he is quite refined-no known white in his bloodlines (blks, blk & tans, blk & gold/silver)-his pedigree in not on the database. All of my dogs were chosen for good conformation-straight backs-less angulation-intelligence--the American showlines make me want to cry. I also had a very, very nice American female---the rest of my current pack are of well known West German, DDR, Czech & Dutch/Belgian bloodlines.

hello 3shep. Try and not take these comments personal. Most are directed at the breed as a whole and the direction provided by the parent organization. Not individual owners and dogs who do well.
I now own German s/l. There is also much criticism here.
And I feel much of it is justified Some of it is very sound advice and opinion from experienced people
I take it to heart and try to learn from it. Other times, it is just noise from people who do nothing of their own and seem to survive to point out faults of others.
best to you and your dog,
Rik

Rik,
I'm not in the habit of taking comments on the database personally-most comments are spoken in general and not in specfics-still there are the exceptions to every statement.
I forgot to state that Kip is OFA Good.
Shapshot of Kip & Kobe

Kip is a beauty and looks really sturdy.
He is what the American bred German Shepherd used to be. Of course his ancestors came from Germany.
Many American breeders have not strayed too far. But, to get one of these excellent dogs, you have to go to ranches and backyard breeders.
I know, I had one of the best dogs ever. I found him in a backyard in Cloverdale, California. His grandfather was taken from East Germany before the wall came down.
He was a great home guardian, fantastic obedience, very good at Schuthund, herding and a strong civil dog. Because of him I was not car jacked. He was sturdy, hips and elbows OFA'd and lived into his 13th year. His daughter became a California Highway patrol K9.
My only regret was that I did not have him collected at a sperm bank.
