Hi everyone,
Just a quick question. I taped my 7.5month old pups ears over the last 6 weeks. His ears are now up and the splints have been off now for about 5 days. As I said his ears are maintaining an erect position all the time. However it seems that when he walks the tips of the ears bounce up and down. The question I have is would it be prudent to keep splinting for say another 2-3 weeks or leave them be as they are not floppy any other time.
Having had GSD's in the past reminds me looking at my pup now, that he looks like a 3 or 4 month old that has just recently raised his ears but is not in full control yet of the entire ear! In fact they have a somewhat tee-pee look that pups go through before full control.
Any advice?

since they are already erected after being taped, by time the tips will stop bouncing up & down. This is based on several previous experience.
Enjoy him & have a good day.

If they are up and appear to be strong at the base, I wouldn't be concerned. Unless the tipping started showing signs of becoming a fold.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm still keeping an eye on him but still staying up.
