Well, just to let y'all know that Jago got his breed survey for life last weekend -  KKL1, TSB pronounced; dog releases.
Man, I was so chuffed, I could've got down on my hands and knees and kissed his ass right there and then. He's messed me around virtually the whole year with his aus and bark/hold, but he really did me proud on the day.

Any updates from anyone else on their accomplishments?

Cheers
Vanessa

** I actually meant to continue this from another thread of the title "What aims to you hope to accomplish in 2010", that was started in March 2010, but it ended up being a new post - my apologies.

Congrats on your Koer Vanessa ... you must of did something right to get his work to be good for the Koering. With my dog I was able to obtain my goals for 2010 ...........  with success. The BH and AD in Aug ..... Sch 1 in Oct and Sch 2 November all before two and a half years old. www.razervombaphomet.com       I think I may start a thread with goals to be obtained in 2011 .......  Hope everybody has achieved which they started out to do for 2010 .............. Regards  ......  Greg

Congradulations to Jago! Most excellent!

I was able to get high SG ratings on all my young ladies. Next on my agenda is a trio of BH and AD certs, and on to their Sch1s.

Several of my dogs have made excellent progression in their bitework as well. The reason they didn't get farther in 2010? I'd say it was all me with my pesky job obligations getting in the way of my dogs

my new puppy was born.  No dog died this year, lost one each of the last 3, it is hell when they get old.  My puppy is growing too.

Probably did too much. My 6 month old pup is doing a SchH 3 track with articles, obedience is all there minus the dumbells and bitework is coming along nicely. I can't get the BH until next August, but would like to get at least the 1 in 2011 and the 3 in the spring of 2012. I want to compete at a national level with this dog before the world ends in December of 2012.

I'm still working on Bonsai Puppy......just having a hard time getting them all the way in those tiny jars, but hopefully will have it figured out in time for Xmas.

The truth is I have to laugh or I'd cry - I didn't get anything done I wanted to this year, (though I for sure learned a lot and had a good time trying).  Oh well, onward and upward to 2011.

Alkster2002 - Listening to people and following their advice (quite a bit of which I got here!) And, I finally learnt to trust my dog. Like our club helper said "your dog is good, it's you that's shit". Couldn't argue with him there!

To everyone that got what they wanted congrats and to those that aren't there yet - the journey is as important as the destination - enjoy every step!

Cheers

TR2 and OB2 on my girl.

Next year will hopefully be SchH2 on her, possibly SchH 3 depending upon training schedule and at least a BH on my male.

VanessaT - excellent year for you!

my dog goals 2010 were

work with Jyota for BH, we're almost there,
to have a last litter of puppies from Hanny, didn't work out,
improve my handling skills - "your dog is good, it's you that's shit" - ditto for me!

mostly take more time enjoying and cherishing my dogs.
