Krazy Bout K9s

by Krazy Bout K9s on 05 December 2010 - 04:12

I just picked up this wonderful guy, approx. 3 yrs old and he is deaf. Such a nice guy, considering. Needs training with hand signals. Can climb an 8 foot fence, I saw him do it when I went to leave him in an uncovered kennel. I had to crate him in my truck for the night, till I could leave...LOL...
Any takers???

Hi steph, He is absolutely beautiful! How is he around other dogs and kids? Is he housebroke? Neutered? I have received several phone calls lately looking for a GSD. I will ask around and check emails from folks wanting a dog. Renee

 Hi Renee,
He was just fixed, so is a bit reactive around males. Not bad but not sure either, just brought him home yesterday. Seems okay with all people. Very nice dog. Will get more photos when I can stay home for abit.
Just picked up 2 nice males about 1 yr old. Nother post.

 Thanks Lief,
That is great. I did train a deaf dog a long time ago with just hand signals, but she was focused on me. This guy doesn't focus, so I need to work on that. Please send me your info for the e-books.
Thanks, Steph

Hi Steph The pager is invaluable for off leash recall there really is no other way to get them back that

they key is waiting for them to be the  right angle away in the beginning so you get the sub task ''muscle memory'' of whipping around and let them drag the leash so if you get to an impasse you can pull them to you  but this was only a few days after the dog came in..they learn quick with that tool
