Looking for Top of the line KNPV GSD pup - must have strong serious drives endless energy absolutely fearless in every sense devoted in every other way and an SG prospect. Will look at male or female depending on the dog. Must be breeding quality with no history of hips/elbow problems 3 gen A normal min - no soft ears, missing testicles, missing teeth, health issues in pedigree...this dog will go far in my hands....

realgsd , no honest breeder can or will guarantee , that a pup of their breeding will fit your demands , if they coult they would be millionaire by now , because everybody is looking for that puppy
I think you have far better chances looking into a 10 month or older dog , where you can see the dog for what he/she is , in hips , elbows , teeth , ears , drives , courage , grips and so on

duke, no advice can be given to the novice better than this. This is something usually only learned after many years and many mistakes. And it bears repeating, no honest breeder will guarantee that their pup will be able to fulfill all your dreams.
They can only tell you of the effort they put into the breeding and the accomplishments of the lineage. And many cannot truthfully tell this.
Very good advice for those looking for their first dog.

daryl, that is also very true and learned with time and experience. many promise much to the breeder and deliver nothing. I guess past performance is the only indicator future accomplishments.
But everyone starts from the beginning. The ones who do what they promise to the best of their ability, find the road smoother in the future. The ones who only talk and deliver nothing are soon known.

Frank and his breeding program rocks. Don't paint your self into a corner. Youtube. com Staatsmacht and Tiekerhook. Lots of of KNPV GSD's come back to OG schutzhund lines like Fado.

if conformation is not very important for you. I would second Staatsmacht. They are not truely famous for conformations.
