. . . basking in the new snow. That's pretty cool n interesting. Let me ask this to every one here in a snowy country: given the carbon emitted by cars, gas flares, industries etc, do you notice or observe any darkened snow or some dark portion of snow flakes? I ask because we in the southern hemisphere, especially in the "niger-delta" area expirience dark early rains due to carbon in our atmosphere. Fetch the first rains or the first few minutes during any rainfall and you're definitely going to notice dark rain water and carbon stains/rings in your bowl. The "Kyoto accord" on climate is always being broken.

NDM - no I have never expericed what you are describing but the closest thing to that was a few years ago very very strong winds blew black dirt over from the Dakotas that put a thin layer of "dust" on top of the snow drifts.

These pictures are wonderful and very captivating. . . rich snowy night, gsd running, snow crystals beaming like stars : God's an artist.

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing. I must admit that I would not want to spend winter with that much snow and so cold. I am trying to convince my husband to move somewhere far south from MO.

Lovely pics!  Thanks for sharing.  Echo loves the snow...me not so much but I do love to watch her enjoy herself.  Not looking forward to getting snow here but it is just a matter of time.  Echo will be pleased.
