the new moderators are here and NOTHING IS HAPPING on this forum.......how depressiing!!!!

I think its because we were so use to all the drama and fussing, that we got use to that way of communicating.....Now that most of the members are really trying to stay within the TOS we are just not use to that......Also, since its in transition, no one really knows what the changes are, except for the new mods.....We have been told several times changes are on the way but never given an idea in which manner or anything other than changes with the mods....So I think that until everything is made crystal clear, most members are on the down low....

Good evening everyone,
"Death to another great forum."
This moderation team will then build this forum back brick by brick and if only 2 people use it at least they can do it with simple rules and know they will at least be respected. Oli is not going to lose sleep if the forums drop in hits, as he knows this is a months/years long journey. We know we will not turn this forum around overnight, but we will never give up. We are literally fighting for you to have a forum the alternatives are bleak. The pedigrees bring many more people than the forums.
I took a quick look around at about 100 forums of every type.
The first thing on most of these forums is free speech is not allowed. You do not have free speech at work. You cannot go to work and tell the boss to *uck off. Without being fired. Oli owns this site he decides what he wants. It is not my choice nor is it your choice.
Every forum I looked at including political, health , tech, dog, cat, auto, computers and many others do not allow off topic threads/posts. It does not happen. It is why forums have topics and if you have a topic forum then the members should respect the forum structure.
You think are rules are strict you should do a few searches for forum rules.
No forum allows willy nilly posts of every topic in threads with a specific topic.
The TOS is the TOS it is not hard to figure it out and it is not hard to stay on topic. I keep hearing if an opposing opinion is given it is off topic. You have to be kidding. Look at the TOS and show me were it is interpreted to say such nonsense. You can have dissenting opinions, within the guidelines of the TOS.
This forums rules are light compared to many forums.
One last word on people not posting. We all know as one poster leaves another will come back and still others will go form lurk status to posting. It is a part of change and is expected.
We want every member posting, but we are not going back and people need to realize it.

There was no need for you to climb on your soap box. I made a simple and truthful statement! I thought you said the moderators were going to be "in the back ground"?
Your response here is classic example why people are boycotting! Your comments were not necessary.....an answer to my post was not necessary!

LOL@PowerHaus coming from you I about peed my pants I was laughing so hard! You could not handle the position and yet you try to chastise them? lol
Why are you people doing this to Oli? Do you think by doing this you are going to force him to let you post threads that he himself said he does not want on here? It's just showing him more and more, who he can and can not trust and who does not care about the site or him.
Just as there are those of you who are sending him emails on how unfair this is, there are many sending him emails on keeping the mods and to please Do Not give this board back to those who had control of it for the last few years! To look into who posted on past topics that he doesn't want on here and he'll see many of the same names are the ones sending him the emails against what he wants and being a part of the walk outs (only showing others how immature you really are)! Who is bucking the hardest? Who is giving the moderators the hardest time?
And with all that you've tried it's only given the mods more power! Does that sound like Oli really wants to buckle to you? Give in to your demands? When you pushed mods so far, that they quit, he replaced them and from the sounds of it, ones with a bit of experience! He didn't give up or give in to your demands! How can you not see, that every time you pull some stupid stunt, he only gets stronger?

No, it needs to be said. It is not a soapbox and it was not directed at any one person. It is fact and it is true.

I just looked up hunting and dog forums ( these were the first ones listed)..........I respectivlely disagree with you GSD. They each have Politics/Off topic threads.
Civility is the only rule that matters on these forums.........as it should be here as well.
