GSDshow, just wanted to let you know I have your dog Deja's half sister (another daughter of Hassan, from Izzet in Colorado). Your dog is absolutely gorgeous, and if my puppy (6 months old now) turns out to have half the trainability and drive as Deja seems to (judging from photos and your past posts) then I will know I have been very lucky indeed!! If you ever make it out to Arizona, you should come train at our club, it would be fun to meet my pup's half sister! :)

ChampionI,

I am so happy to finally run into someone who has a Gunbil dog.  What is your puppies mother?  It is also great to see that there are more people doing Schutzhund with his dogs.  Hassan seems to pass on the drives and let me tell you Deja is a handfull, she never stops!  Our male is from Izzet aswell but he was imported from Germany.  We have been very happy with his dogs.

I would love to see your puppy could you upload some pictures?

We have started to travel a little so we can get titles quicker because our club only has one trial a year and I don't want to wait a year between titles.  I would love to come to AZ and meet you, and if you ever get to Utah please look us up.

Hi again Kathy!

I've been meaning to comment on your posts for some time to let you know that I know Izzet and have two dogs from him, I don't know what took me so long but it's great to hear from you, and also great to meet someone else with Gunbil dogs! Like you, both my dogs are from him, one is an import Rona Fountain Blue (call name Anika)  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/578313.html who has all the drive and trainiabilty that anyone could ask for, she is a true fireball who doesn't know how to lay down and relax, she needs to be working at all times.

My puppy out of Hassan and Quena von Tannenbruch is named Verona von Gunbil http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/669569.html
She does have good drive, but she has a softer temperment and I would describe her as more of a "sweetheart" as opposed to my other dog being more feisty and more of a true "bitch" haha. I think Verona will make a good schutzhund dog too but I will have to train her differently. She is also a show dog, so we will see how that goes! I recall Izzet telling me about you and your husband and the dogs one time, telling me I should go to Utah to train with you guys. I haven't been in years, but if I do head out that way I'll let you know! Our club is planning a trial in February, if you're inclined to head this way, if Deja would be ready for her 1 or if Bero would be ready for a BH (don't know his age though). Anyhow, I have more pics of Verona but it's hard for me to post here, if you're interested you can PM me your email and I will email you some!
