I was looking at a beautiful male dog for sale and saw that his pedigree had a 3-1.
Could this dog be registered in Germany, could it be shown in SV conformation?
I've seen 3-2's before and have been told that its acceptable, but a 3-1? Is this allowed?
What about 3-3 linebreeding?

Any breeding closer than 3 / 3 must be approved by the breed warden

Many dogs have a 2-3 line breeding in Germany.....anything "closer"... as in 2-2 is questioned.
A.. 2-3 & 3-3 line breeding is very common.

Well KNOWING the dogs you can get either the best or the worst. When you inbreed you find out a lot about your lines.................................
