Ruger1

by Ruger1 on 29 November 2010 - 16:11

I am anxious to get this thread up .....I could not help wanting to give a quick update on Ruger Vom Mittelwest...aka Prince...   Many of on the PDB are familiar with my story,,,,,for those of you who aren't ..you were spaired..lol..lol...

Me and my husband spent the last three days in IL visiting our 11 month old male GSD Prince...We where having some " issues" and" concerns" about his behavior and came to a point that we where unable to handle his behavior. I want to thank publicly the handful of encouraging members that stuck with me and encouraged me to seek help and NOT GIVE UP ON PRINCE.....I hope it is appropriate to use names...Slamdunc..aka Jim..Phil Behun..aka..Phil .. QMan..aka Bob..THANK YOU for all your time, advice , and being willing to offer your training help.......These guys went above and beyond for a complete stranger.........: )....There are a few that I am not able to publicly thank, you know who you are...: )

However, my most heart felt gratitude is for Kelly Czaja....I am at a loss for words to describe my gratitude....I can only sum it up to say I love this lady for what she has done for Prince and our family....

Prince has been with Kelly at Tops Training Center for a little over three weeks. I can only say that he is a totally different dog...For those of you who are familiar with Prince you will understand how big this is....Prince was at a down off leash in the middle of a training hall with men, women ,children and a room full of puppies ......Prince was calm , relaxed and comfortable while being within a foot of all the commotion....He was even sleeping at one point. He stayed like that for about  20 minutes or more...His obedience is way more than I ever expected... heeling patterns, dumbbell work, obstacles...I had Prince at a heel and was able to shake hands with a stranger....That's big...lol...I could go on and on.....

Kelly has gone above and beyond in every way,,,,What has been an extra bonus, is that Prince loves this lady....It is obvious to me that although she came down hard on his inappropriate behavior, she balanced this with love and kindness...She spent three days training me too...and is traveling to our home to train the whole family together.....Thanks Kelly......Thanks Tops...Thanks Friends of PDB...Thanks Oli for making this database possible.....Thank God for answereing my prayers......

Good job, Kelly!

Is this where I say 'I told you so', Deanna, for having said that I seriously doubted there was ever anything wrong with your dog?

This is great to hear!  I was hoping you would finally find someone good to help you & Prince, as that was the only thing that would work.
