I got a great pup from Jinopo.  Seeing how great my pup is and how others like him and really want to see how he will be as he gets older, I feel like I should get him titled .  He is 4 months now and I need to decide which sport to do and obtain a title in before I turn him to PPD.

My plan was to turn him into a PPD dog but I feel some sort of responsibilty to put at least one title on him (SchH, PSA or whatever).  It's like the breeder sent you a great dog and other than the cash that you paid for it, the only other way of saying thanks is to title the dog.

Have any of you felt this way?
Breeders, do u hope that people will title the dogs that you place with them?

I hope people give my dogs GREAT homes, lots of love and attention and do what makes them and their dog happiest. Then of course put a KNPV title on him!!!

Yes....and that is why I usually keep a puppy back and title id myself.. I am SELFISH...
I am excited when the dogs are worked. I see some of my male's puppies and they might never be titled but the owners take very good care of them and train them! tile would be nice though.

Does the title matter or any title is fine?

I think everyone's different...Some breeders don't care whether or not their puppies get titled...but I think these are the same people (breeders) that don't care about anything other then the money...
I would like to see any of my puppies out of my kennel not only worked to their fullest but to be titled if possible...
If there were two people wanting to buy the same puppy from me and everything else was equal I would sell the puppy to the person that wants to work and title them....
And as far as to what disipline they should be worked...It doesn't really make a difference to me...I would just like the puppy/dog worked and brought to it's fullest potential...

YES

I would love it if everybody that got a dog from me got (SOME SORT OF TITLE) on their dog, then like Ace592 asked

"Does the title matter or any title is fine?"

Any title that needs to be earned qualifies, cause to me, anytime a judge has to run his hands down the back of my dog and open his mouth and check his teeth, and put his hand around back and under my dogs balls and then grab them, and my dog has not bitten him yet, then I say Bravo!, for I have a "Good Dog!"

Sorry had to get rid of a stupid rant,

We offer refunds back on obtaining certain titles on your dogs, I think some people need incentives, cause it takes alot of hard work and dedication to earn any title!

Most breeders that work their dogs would like to see dogs from their breedings titled. It is virtually the only way that the breeder has to see if what they are producing is of any quality. It also will help make a name for them and he dogs they are breeding.  I always hate to see it when someone who breeds says they would like to see the pups they sell worked and titled if possible and then not title any themselves.

 Ace952,

Good question.

I am not a breeder but, I bet that most breeders want to know that the dog you bought from them is loved and taken care of by you in the best possible way.

I also, feel that another way to say thank you and show the breeder your respect is to title the dog they have entrusted you with.

In addition, I think you should have them x-rayed (hips and elbows), tested for genetic issues (heart, thyroid, eyes, ect.,), and send them progress notes and pictures.
