Does anyone know the judging assignments for the WDA Sieger Show in October? With the show less than 5 monhts away, it seems as though this and other info should be available on the website. All it says is that the site is under construction. Is WDA really slipping on this one?

Don't be impatient for a WDA website update.
In the March-April 2006 WDA Newsletter, page 58, the selected judges are listed as Reinhardt Meyer and Hans-Joachim Dux (no surprise, this one). Class assignments are "to be determined". Considering that Meyer is the senior of the judges, I suspect that Meyer may be judging Working Males. However, on page 51 of the Calendar of Events, Dux's name is listed above that of Meyer.
The judges were approved at a board meeting in February.
The show is to be near St. Louis at Purina Farms, Grey Summit, MO.

BTW, Meyer judged Working Females at 2003 NASS and Working Males in 2001.

Thank you Louise. I had heard that a third judge had been added as Mr Dux was involved in quite a scandal in California. Why is WDA leaving us in the dark?

Unofficial word is that Ernst Ruckert will also be judging.
This is the first time that the WDA is actually organizing and running the event themselves. Previously, local clubs have done everything on their own dime (websites, publicity, insurance coverage, judge engagements, show venues, hotel accomodations, all entries and paperwork, catalog production--and a million other details). Plus, the local clubs were required to pay $5/entry for the privilege of hosting the event.
Perhaps WDA members and potential 2006 NASS competitors should query current WDA board members for the official status of this event. Contact information may be found at www.gsdca-wda.org.

I live in California and unaware of a what you describe as a "scandal". Yes, it's true that people from all over the country flocked to a CA regional and doubled the show's usual entry. Folks had obviously heard that Dux was to judge 2006 NASS. Finding an explanation for this unusually large entry did not require rocket science.
Anyhow, if the WDA indeed has decided to host all future NASS events, local politics may be less prevalent.
