met a neat guy who is riding across the usa horseback for charity -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- yesterday this guy, Mark Soper, shows up in our villiage. He is riding his quarter horse Luke across the USA from pa to ca to raise money for research on Cystic Fibrosis <10 year old Alex who is close to him has it> and for Fibromalgia He has sold his home and cars to do this. Just himself and his horse Luke are on the road together asking people to donate five dollars to each. He is having breakfast here before going over the mountain this morning, I will get a better idea of his route then but i do know h is following route 641 till it pretty much ends. He has been on the road a month so far and has begun to get publicity and a couple interviews. I would love for folks to spread the word and help him get friends for his journey and a helping hand when needed like the other night there was an electrical storm here, thankfully he found refuge. He has even had to take shelter in pig barns so far. I didnt know if I could post the link to his website here so I did not please pm me for it if you would like to read it. I will keep anyone interested posted. I also am going to sculpt his horse Luke, and auction it proceeds to the cause. He plans to end his ride on the other side of the golden gate bridge, he needs alot of friends out there.
