We'll play a game.
You have to assign a breed to each task and you cannot repeat the same breed for more than one task. Fair enough?
1. Dual purpose K9
2. Sport
3. Personal Protection
4. Area Guard
5. S&R
6. Leader
7. Explosives
8. Assistance

1: German Shepherd
2: Malinios
3: Fila
4: Rottweiler
5: Doberman
6: Lab
7: ? beagle
8: golden retriever
left a ? on 7, several of these breeds are quite capable of filling most of these tasks on their own.

Interesting! I have a couple different, but the one I find intriguing, is #5.

I choose Dobie cause there is a trainer in my area who works exclusively with them, she has european lines and these are EXCELLENT search dogs.

I think I would go:
1. GSD
2. Malinois
3. Dobermann
4. Caucasian Ovcharcka
5. Bloodhound
6. Lab
7. Dutch
8. Golden
Honestly, a good GSD can do all of these, but thought it would be fun. I had trouble with #s 3 and 4. And then trying to fit the same breeds in 5-8.

1: GSD, they are an all purpose dog, not the best at any given thing, but the best at being able to do many jobs
2: Mal, fast, flashy, generally brings in the points
3: Fila, my understanding is, if I had a REAL personal security problem, I would want something big, intimidating and is capable of backing up its looks with its temperment, a well bred fila is stable with its family, but very suspicious of strangers and will bite for real, other choice was the Russian Ovcharcka.
4: Rottie, could have put them in several places but area guard suits them well.
6: Lab, top breed for most guide dog schools, again could have been placed several spots
7: beagle, they are small, good nose, and most airports/customs use them
8: Golden, very person oriented, always has something in the mouth, so can be taught to pick things up, and generally turn into a persons hands

Yeah, your description of a Fila could go to the Ovcharcka. That is why I chose it for AG. For PP, a well bred, ole school Dobe is the ticket. Probably hard to come by nowadays, but still, the only breed bred to buit humans.
