So a few people have PMd me asking what exactly I mean when I talk about our private dog park. A quick description, we have a 12 acre facility that people pay a quarterly fee to use. All the dogs/members are screened and vaccination records are required. Our DVG club also meets in the training area twice a week.
So here's video I made when I was trying to learn how to use iMovie, video has sound. The group of dogs in the video is a combination of some of the dogs we keep here in daycare along with members and their dogs hanging out in the field or in the nature trail area along the creek.

Very nice. I like the private dog park concept. With a creek as a finishing touch........ Hmmmmm. Minus a creek...........Hmmmmm.......

The creek is a blessing and a curse
. We had to install a tub in the clubhouse so members could rinse off their dogs before loading them into their cars. And I have had to pull more than one dog to safety when the creek was high and the current was too fast (A lab, no doubt!).

I have to say I am TOTALLY against dog parks for the public however private dog parks such as yours which require a membership, vaccine records, etc is a good thing. At least this way you kinda know the dogs and feel a little safer. ALso it appears they are not just 30 dogs in a 1/4 acre fenced yard together as most dog parks in my area.
When I was confronted by my town about my feelings on their building a Dog Park, my response was "Oh, so you have found money in the budget to make me Full Time!". They looked at me and asked why I say that "Cause we get complaints EVERYDAY from dog owners at the town parks who allow their dogs to run freely and get into dog fights, why would I think it's a great idea to throw them all together ina fenced arena?".
My suggestion to my town was to give up one of our walking trail systems (we have about 20 different sets of town woods/trails properties) and allow the dog to be off leash there at their own risk of course but we can't just say dogs on leash at every trail and park, people just don't obey they. If we give them 30 acres of wooded trails to hike they would at least stay off the trails with the young families, etc.
