It pays not to brag too much about your dog!
I heard this happened to someone else but his dog was just a pet. It was still considered an asset and unnecessary.
The only exception would be if a person has a service/assistance dog for a genuine medical problem. The can't take an expensive motorized wheelchair nor an assistance animal.
