depending where you live..they will charge you for extraction from the male...preparing and evaluating semen...and inseminating the female...call around your area, and get a median price..
if you live in Miami, NY or L.A...SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT

GOOD LUCK

Cost in our area is same as Robin.  Indy should not be much different.

Is this a vet that is experienced in this or has only done it a few times?

Here in Northern California it is $170

If you are experienced and know how or have a breeder friend of your that is close to you, there are AI kits you can purchase and do everything yourself. I know of a couple breeders that do it themselves and have had great luck.

Just clarify are you speaking of vaginal deposition?  Or are you also considering surgical implant or trans-cervical insemination?  Price will vary based on the method and from the prices quoted by others I think that you are intending for vaginal deposition but figured I would throw the question out there nevertheless :-)  Also make sure to clarify as to if the price quoted includes any progesterone testing.  I know of vets who add that to the "package" costs.
