I was going to trial tomorrow for my StP.3 at a WDA trial and just got an email telling everyone they will be required to submit a 4 generation pedigree...blah blah blah...

Anyone know why in the world me, with a Rottweiler, would be required to submit a 4 generation pedigree to a GSD organization?

Another question is WHY do you need a pedigree at all to trial a dog with WDA?  What about not only those alternate breeds but the mixed breeds that trial & title for the sport?

You do not have to. Just sign up your dog as a mixed breed.

Hi Keith,

The pedigree and tattoo/microchip verification requirements are for GSD's only.  It is a little confusing and the club probably does not understand.  If you are comfortable telling me the name of the club, I will be glad to contact them and explain this to them.

You do not have to put your dog down as a mixed breed.

Good luck at the trial.

Thanks,
Rhonda
