Grooming my male dog I have just noticed on his groin both sides of his penis raised nobules (like teats) BUT all coloured black on top (almost like a mole on a teat) - Hope explained that appropriately - does that sound normal?
(Presume some folk may now be looking at their male dog's groin to see a comparison or similar to what I have just explained) ........
Thank you,
Vixen

Vixen...funny thing, my boy 3.5 years old has the same thing, they turn black in the winter and get smaller..1st time i saw that 2 years ago i thought..holly s**** ticks are coordinated into a perfect line..upon further exam those turn out to be his nipples..and than following week vet (routine visit) explained that they tend to shrink and turn dark in the winter....

Pheeww!!! What a relief to hear that!!!! LOL.
Most odd as I had never really noticed before. But sometimes that is the same as us too isn't it - whereby you suddenly think; "was that mole there before"!!!
Thanks for replying Ladyfrost and the reassurance.
Kind Regards,
Vixen

Thank you Ruger1, and Nonacona, it is reassurring to hear from other dog folk, and realising that all is well and not something odd.
I felt daft to ask, but glad I did.

Vixen
