I know that I can sincerely say THANKS for what the military does for us. A couple of weeks ago at work (I work for the VA) we were sent an email on a project for the Library of Congress where loved ones (or not) could send in stories of vets who made a difference in their lives by sharing the Vets military history with the world. Its a way to give back to the vets who may not have won medals but still gave of themselves during war and peace time. If anyone is interested, PM me and Ill find the link.
My hat off to those who still serve and those who did!
