Beware of e-mails like the one below, my past experience as an Investigator with the Solicitor Generals Office suggest that this is a new form of the "Nigerian Scams".
Hello Reinhard,
Good to hear from you ,I asked my son to make a choice and he liked sly and i think that is a good choice for him,Also i will be travelling out of the country with my business associate this week ,but that wont stop us from dealing, what i will do is to instruct my clients to immediately issue to you a covered cashier cheque ,which will include the shipping cost and every other tax fee ..There are some goods i bought lying at my dockyard ready for shipment .i have to stop the shipment because of what am buying from you ,so they will package everything and send it over to me at once ..and that of yours ,as soon as you receive the cheque you will have to deposit the cheque in your account ...and when your bank has confirmed and credited the fund in your account ,you will deduct yours and send the remit to my shipping company ,so they will be able to come over to your place with my lawyer for the pick up ...my lawyer will also sign every necessary document un behalf of me .i hope you understand me .but before the cheque can be sent to you ,i will need this following information .....
your full name:
address:

You can trace them right to the NIGERIAN Cafe in a booth and most are not even women when they contact the man...The men just use a person who can translate English rather fast and it is funny how they know no one in the town and they all own homes somewhere here in USA but are self employed in Ghana working for a company and you get no relatives either...they are all dead...
SO same O Same O...too bad some men and women get trapped in sending MONEY to these Scammers.......
Can you believe a woman here in Troup, Tex married a man on the facebook who is in Deboui and he claims to work for Chevron, never met him , he sends her flowers on net, and he arranged it all there and he is Catholic, tells her he will be home by Dec. She says she married him on OCT 26 and so far she knows nothing about him.but he loves her......she is 70 yrs old and he is 58yrs old and lives in Kansas...ha ha ha...she will not believe her family that it is fake and a scam..he has no relatives and same story...she fell for it..How can she really think she is married.?
She was ask last week by him ...does your son support you totally??? He is about to swoop in for the MONEY hit.. and that will be " OH Honey, I cannot get home because I need 1000.00 to get here My money is tied up in AMerica and bank will not release it..>>>>>>" She will never lay eyes on him then..
SCAMS EVERYWHERE ....

I have one of those, too. Wilanson@yahoo.com contacted me about a pet dog I have for sale, and wanted to know the specifics, including price.
Funny thing is, I have no pet, working, dead, or living dogs for sale, and never have. It goes hand in hand with the check I got in the mail a week ago for $4975 USD. I only have to deposit said check in my account, immediately withdraw $2800 USD and moneygram it over to some fellow in NY, and then they will release the balance of the $250,000 they say I won in the North American/ European lottery. Problem is, I never bought a ticket in any lottery, so I know it's a scam. Plenty of people depositing these checks and sending the money on, like they're told, and getting in heaps of trouble for it.
I am taking the check and letter to the postmaster and reporting it, since this fraud is perpetrated through the US mail. Likely nothing will come of it, but if it does, maybe someone else won't have to suffer the way some folks have.
I'm not dumb enough to think this check is worth anything, but lots of others have, according to my bank. Tragic.
