Do you bath your dogs sometimes, often or never?  (Or only if there is a particular need)?

If you do is it indoors in your own bath or shower?  Or outdoors using a hose?

Do your dogs enjoy it????  LOL

Since our dog is kept inside she doesn't really get the chance to get dirty.  We have bathed her twice since we got her (she is two yrs old).  Daily brushing should be enough if the coat/skin is in good shape unless the dog gets into mud or something.  We usually use the garden hose and bathe her in the heat of summer only.

good question....lets see what others are doing...i feel like its a lose lose situation...you wash them outside they come back dirtier than pre-wash especially if you have some mud in the yard, or exposed dirt...and if you wash them inside the rolling on a carpet or even rug by the door leaves a wet dog smell for a loooooong time...I don't have a garage...my next house better have a garage where i can have hot/cold  water with a low tub specifically for washing dogs....and who ever else comes home from off roading/mud/rock crawling...LOL

In good weather I used to bathe outside, but that would inevitably end in over exuberant grass/dirt rolling in a spot where my dad would clean his fish... complete crazy dog legs kicking wildly in the air........

So I switched to a good brushing outside (to release the loose hair mountain) then bathing inside in the tub. I also brushed with a soft rubber pronged bath glove while in the tub. I bought a  microfiber towel  to help get the water off quickly so she wouldn't get water everywhere in the house.

My pup didn't really enjoy bath time but Loooooved the rub down she got while she was being bathed.

I didn't bathe often usually when I noticed her coat was dirty  or if we had someplace special to go.

I don't have a GSD yet but I bath my chow mix with a garden hose outside in the summer/ warmer months. It usually turns into a water fight game with the sprayer where I am not sure who got the bath her or me.

During the cooler and cold months she gets bathed in inside in my master bathroom  tub... Which usually leaves my bedroom with the lingering smell of wet dog for hours.... LOL

I usually don't bath her until she starts to smell, has rolled in the horse maunure or some other  yucky muck. Otherwise she gets brushed frequently and stays pretty clean.

She doesn't particularly like the inside bathing either but loves the rub down afterwards and thinks the towel is a tug toy.

Almost never.  I toss him to the ocean for swimming sometimes for an hour or so a few times a week every couple weeks or month, depending on my mood,  then  rinse off the sand & salt  when I get him home.  I don't do much brushing either.

Depending on if it has been real muddy before a show I will bathe whoever is going--in my spare bathroom--but I have to make sure I have plenty of time and energy to blow them dry afterwards.  Other than that I never bathe them but do brush and clip nails on a regular basis.................

Very rarely.
The dogs swim alot in the summer, and they are hosed off with fresh water after.  Plus whenever they get muddy.

About three to four times a year. Our dogs are therapy dogs, so we have to keep them really clean and smelling nice and fresh. I bathe with a hypoallergenic coconut based shampoo.

I bathe outside, but connect my hose to the laundry sink, so I can adjust the temperature. We live in s. Florida, so it never gets too cold here.

Our Shiloh Shepherd loves to be bathed, but our GSD simply tolerates it. We blow dry them with a WetVac- works fantastic!

My cocker spaniels get a bath weekly in the Utility Basin in my mud room by the hot water heater..It is for mops, dogs, or anything that needs washing but not for food dishes..It is the greatest sink you would ever want.

Gsd get no baths unless one is traveling in my truck for a trip...Then it is a special hose my son rigged up that goes out the back door with warm water available and I rinse and blow dry with a regular lawn blower. Put in big wire crate and let dry off in partial sun...

I use a non soap shampoo and spray with a  coat enhancer the next day after putting on their Advantage if it is time.
I use    Essential Fatty Acid    Shampoo by   HyLyt      a DVM product ,  Soap free Hypoallergenic for normal routine cleansing, for normal,    dry or Sensitive skin

also us  an Oatmeal Shampoo with Aloe Vera  gel  by   HAVA

Also us plain ole HEAD and SHOULDERS   with conditioner most of the time.

HyLyt makes a spray for coat conditioning I use to spray during days that the germans smell a little foul..no washing till they have to stay inside or go with me in truck...then they get a BATH
