It tells you how many posts in a thread one has, and which post number you are reading of whoevers at that time. I guess if you like a certain poster it will help you keep track of their posts

No, everyone will be able to see the path of every poster by their count. Closing the gap unaccountability. It is a good thing.

Not par for the course, just not that obsessed with the desire to follow the timeline of other posters....Not saying its a bad feature or a good one.....to each his own.....Guess for someone keeping a close tabs on another, for whatever reason, this feature could be a good thing.........Hope it works for them like they intend it to...
