FINALLY, LUCK IS ON MY SIDE..... - Page 1

 My dogs are all getting a really big treat for halloween......Since I was banned for a couple of hours I decided to go to the nearby casino...... I NEVER go to the casino, not even sure what possessed me to go this time....I put a $20.00 in the machine and hit a $3000.00 payout....Boy, Was I surprised...... .   So out of every bad, comes a good.....and NO good deed goes unnoticed....

Porter House steaks tonight for all the kids.....

LOL!  that is great!  I go in once and a while when at the races.  Usually I come out one hundred dollars richer.  Where else can you go where you come home with more than when you leave? 

Just got to be smart about it and quit when you're ahead.  Congrats!

 Well, obviously SP,  you and I have different ideas of what we do.....  As for sharing it, yes I do plan on sharing with those that are well deserving.....  

RS, I have been in a casino maybe 2-3 times before this, and that was long ago.......The only reason I went there was because my daughter is now the manager there.....BIG RAISE for her. YAY!!!!..I went to see how she was doing..I never had intentions of playing the machines..... Never really gave it much thought... She just suggested I go play. She didn't tell me twice, and BAM, I was in the $$$$$$     YES, I did quit while I was ahead.....

My husband and i were in Las Vegas last December for the American Equine Practitioners Convention and we had been there all week and not really done any gambling. It was all a very "deer in the headlights" sort of thing for us. The last night we went down and put 50 bucks on the roulette wheel on the number of years we were married and hit for $2200. We collected our cash, had a nice dinner and flew home the next day. It was incredible.

 jmopaso,  Isn't that an awesome feeling???  Maybe we experienced beginners luck....HMMMMMMM, thats a thought. However, as of right now, I don't have any thoughts of going back......

I went once to Las Vegas  and played the quarter machine on the end of two isles..Won two times , first was $600.00 and the second was $800.00... I immediately after settling up with the paperwork,  left and went straight to Santa Fe and bought  the two huge rings I wear all the time....the onyx and the big American Torquoise one...

Never been back..   Good luck with  your   winnings ....Beginners luck , let  it  stay that way....a beginner...if you get addicted to going you lose.!!

LOL........how funny! Congrats! I agree with YR...... I went to a casino one time and blew through a roll of quarters... did not win anything... made me mad to have wasted the 25 bucks and I only found it aggravating.... only to leave smelling like cigarette smoke. Yuk!!  I have a friend who plays and wins all the time...  but this is a great story... especially the part about getting away and doing something else..... guess that in itself pays off once in awhile!!

You are probably right....It has to be beginners luck, because all I was doing was pulling the handle.  Didn't really think about what cards to keep or discard.....The guy sitting next to me kept telling the machine was fixing on hitting....He said he could tell by the way it sounded...I have no idea what he was talking about....But I guess to someone that does it all the time, maybe its possible they can tell by the sound it makes..... He said he was fixing on playing on that machine after he finished with his.....There was a lady that had just left the machine I won on.....  Poor baby I bet she wants to kick herself in the butt....I'm just glad she left......

I have no intentions of getting drawn into that habit.....wish I could blow money, but just can't do it...The entire time my $20.00 was in that machine all I could think about was all the other ways I could have spent that $20.00.....
What a feeling!!!  I'm still smiling.....and still can't believe it....
