Is there anyone who can rescue a pitbull right now?  In Groveport, Ohio...just a few minutes south of Columbus.  Got home last night from trick or treating and found poor boy chained to the fence, abandoned.   Solid blue color with white chest and toes, very athletic body, no fighting scars anywhere, looks like maybe from show bloodlines, huge head and neck, maybe 18-19 inches tall at shoulder, natural ears.   Super sweet, affectionate, happy loving dog.   Although he has a athletic body he does not seem to be hyper at all, he is not a barker nor is he trying to escape.
He is intact and he does have fleas really bad, he has rubbed hair off of his back and is constantly itching.  At first we thought he was around 2-3 years old, but he may be younger as he is still squatting to pee.

Trying to find a rescue who can take him in immediately, he is currently on a tie-out outside with a doghouse, food and water.  but he cannot stay.  We have not attempted to see how he does with other animals, so no idea if he is good with other pets or not.

We're in Ohio, Ohio laws declare all pitbulls to be dangerous so nearly all shelters here will PTS all pitbulls that come in, this boy is far too nice to let that happen to him.   I am already contact all ohio rescues I can find that rescue pits to see if any can take him.  But if there is any individual here who can rescue him, or perhaps transport him out of Ohio to a rescue that can take him then please, please, please call me now.
Phone number is 614-497-2614

I will get pictures soon

I can't help with the rescue but get some Capstar while you're looking/waiting.  I've used it on rescues I've had and it'll take care of the flea problem in a few hours.

Hi Keith,
That would be great, I don't have any capstar on hand but I've used it before always with great results.  Whereabouts are you at?

I'm in the Indianapolis area but you can get the Capstar anywhere...any vet's office should have it (and may give you a discount if you tell them it's for a rescue) and I believe it's also available over the counter now at places like Petco.

I am in Chicago, is that too far?  If he can get transported here I may be able to foster and get Bully rescue to help.

Ok,  Just got some pictures of him, had to take a few dozen just to get some that he was scratching in.   Poor boy is terribly itchy.  He is super sweet, very calm.  If he wanted too he could chew through or break the tie out he's on, but he isn't even trying.   We left him outside on the tie-out last night and he never barked.   Other than his flea dermatitis, he's a real looker.  So far has shown zero aggression or suspicious behavior of any kind, seems to be very level headed, easy going sweetheart.

That is one big damn head!

First order of business...get rid of the fleas.  2nd...find a rescue or foster who can take him.  3rd...arrange transport.  Someone wants this dog.

He's a hunk isn't he?  Can't believe someone dumped such a gorgeous and sweet dog.  I'm emailing/calling all the pit rescuers in the area that I can find.  I know that they are all pretty much at maximum capacity, if there is a rescue or foster person that can take him in please contact me!

Doberdoodle says she may be able to help him, is there anyone who can transport from Columbus to Chicago?

Already contacted local county shelters and online lost/found sites to see if anyone has reported a lost pitbull, just in case.  But no luck yet.

Just an observation, I noticed the igloo is against the fence....Hopefully he won't try to get on the igloo and jump the fence....The leash appears long enough to reach the road or it may even get caught on the fence and hang him....I wish he was closer, I surely would take him...Good Luck...
