All Korbelbach dogs have that obsession...
Look at my pedigree above and tell me if your dog has some same ..??
The trainers in on of the clubs in Louisiana has a couple of Korbelhach dogs and they do the same thing..Every
one I know who has this line has the same tendencies.. Does not matter how many hours you work them or try to wear them out..you cannot wear out a Korbelbach boy....or girl...not any of them I know...
I own stock now in stainless steel pot companies.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you can give these dogs anything in the world to play with or to keep them ,what you think is occupied..and they still not matter if loose on three acres one acre on a kennel. They had an obsession with having something in their mouth...
Do you have a clue why..... I know why?? but lets let everyone join in and discuss this....this is a very good thread and can be of good info for all who have import dogs.......
Thanks for posting this...I have told this before on here as to what Bear has always done .
If you tak a pole accross the USA of Korbelbach dogs.....guess what you find?????/
Maybe some of them are reading so lets hear how they solve it......and DEAL WITH IT>>>

Use a firm No and distraction, just as one would with a toddler to stop any obsessive behaviour. Stop and redirect, with vigilence, works for me.

FYI. Just a word of caution. I have a friend who has a retired SAR dog that has carried her bowl around for years. She is 11 now and will have to have part of her lower jaw reconstructed and all of the teeth pulled on that side of the lower jaw. According to her vet carrying her pan around for so long is the primary cause for the degeneration of her jaw bone. Could be just her but if it were my dog I don't think I would allow it to do the same.
