Doing some research, including (but not limited to) reading general canine breeding books and reading forum posts, on various aspects of breeding GSD, and I have some questions.
If there are any experienced breeders out there so graciously willing to take time and help me, I would greatly appreciate it!
Please PM.
Much appreciated. Thank you.

30 years ago I read all the books also. I am older , maybe not wiser, but I boiled breeding down to this.
Method 1. Start with the very best bitch you can find for your purposes. Do not skimp here. Find a stud who has the traits you want and is potent for passing on those traits. If fortune smiles, you might get a very good puppy. No guarantees
Method 2. Start with 20 very good bitches, breed to the very good stud every heat. The odds of getting a good pup from a couple hundred or so are in your favor. Sounds kind of harsh, but this is how many "top" breeders get famous.
I have bred champions in GSD, Min. Schnauzer and Corgi using method 1.
Good luck,
Rik

In light of your other more recent post I think you actually had an excellent breeder on your hands you could have learned a lot from but chose to come here instead and attempted to drag their name through the mud in your own little round about way. Lesson one don't bite the hand that feeds you...... that in itself can be a very hard lesson to learn when you think you know more than you do. And I do not mean that to be snarky....... but one day that may mean something and make sense... you'll just have to find that one out for yourself. If you find a good mentor then learn to be a good listener many breeders that have been around are great story tellers.... pull up a chair and learn to be quiet. Appreciate those that take their time to teach you.... they may not have been afforded the same luxury but may have had to learn things on their own through trial and error over many many years and the hard way. Some of the most important lessons you will ever learn will not be found in books.

JulieM, I often get more then I ask for. While dissecting a phenotypically female cadaver in the abdominal region, testicles were discovered. Skin deep is only one story. We must have different definitions of "excellent breeders" because I don't know who you're talking about. PM me and we can discuss this further.
Rik, Method 1 sounds similar to my preference. Thank you.
There isn't really anything up for discussion in my original post. So please PM me. Thanks!
