Buyer's Beware of this breeder!!!  I purchased this dog last year from this same breeder!  (I see animal control did nothing!!!)  Izzy does however look better in this photo than she did in person last year!  He sent me emails of this beuatiful pup, when I drove 5 hours to get her, she weighed 37 lbs at 11 months of age!  I took the dog home and took her to my vet and she had sarcoptic mange and my vet gave her a 1 out of 10 for body weight & coat condition!!  She also had ear infections...  She was extrememly underweight and unhealthy, and tiny in size!!!  Certainly NOT what he portrayed her to be through emails!!!  The parents looked just as bad & dam even worse!  If you deal with Barry Vernon please be extremely careful, he talks a good game but BE CAREFUL!!!  I tried to keep Izzy and have him reimburse me some of the funds but he would only do a return, so I had to return her to him and he did give me my purchase refund and the vet costs!!!!  It broke my heart to take her back to him!!!  Please be careful!!!

Seriously?  Is it unreasonable to expect a healthy, well-fed dog regardless of price?

Thank you Keith...  However I paid $1000!  Yes I was the sucker!!  Will never send a deposit without seeing first again.  You live and you learn...

I would have to second the above sentiment...Is it unreasonable to expect a healthy dog, regardless of price?

Some of the best dogs (non GSD) I've ever seen were free, either in the paper or in front of a store.  I find myself much more drawn to the GSD, but that does not mean that there are no other good dogs, or that all $1000 and up GSD are good dogs.  We all know that's not the case, not at all.

Whether I purchase a puppy through a breeder, a rescue, or take one that someone is giving away, I have a reasonable expectation of health, unless problems have been previously disclosed to me, and I've accepted them.  Just my opinion.

So sick GSD's go for 600.00? lol. I also paid 600.00  for mine and she is healty, full of energy and everthing I could have asked for without paying 1000.00 plus dollars. No matter what you pay, you should expect to get a healthy dog. If the OP said she got a healthy dog and it didnt complete internationally in Sch then yes "you got what you pay for" but not in this instance they didnt get what they paid for.

I can only hope that he did the right thing and got her healthy!!!!  She looks better but I guarantee she is a small female, my vet feared that her growth was stunted!  It is funny, I have been waiting for him to try to sell her!  Poor girl!

How Dare she post a BEWARE on here, she needs to look at her own backyard before she posts something like that,
None of her dogs look healthy, how could they? standing up to their knees in mud on rainy days, about 2 years ago she had puppies advertised, my daughter and I went there to purchase a puppy but when we saw how these poor dogs was kept and the condition they where in  we decided not to purchase, at that time her kennel name was VOM WILLOW HAUS.

I paid alot of money for one of my dogs...an extra $800 for full reg.  Waited to see how she turned out and at 2yrs. had her  spayed.  Alot of money for a crap shoot and the word of a breeder.   And, let me tell you this breeder would have bred to my bitch anyhow because of her looks.  I love my girl but she's not breed worthy and I know that.  I still love my girl no matter what and she'll always be with me but I wonder what her pups would have been like had I bred her.  I think she would have been hell to deal with after the pups were born since she's very, very possesive!  All in all I'm glad I made the choice to have her spayed...especially since her vet told me that she had an inflamed uterus w/some puss.  That's at 2yrs.  She's had puppy vaginitis since I got her and it was reoccurring until she past the 8 month mark.  My plan for my bitch was not to breed but to do SchH. and then if she passed all the requirements them maybe I would consider it.  Oh well.  It's a no go.  She's healthy and happy and that's what I want.
