hi everyone.
My 12 months gad has a long tail and just now he has started hooking his tail at its tip while trotting. It gives an undesirable impression. Can someone suggest to correct that. it looks like a field hockey stick if you know what i mean. I will welcome your suggestions and recommendations. He doesn't lift it up high, just makes a hook near the end of the tail.
Looking forward to your replies

Trim the hair off the end. Old Koermeister recommended this years ago. I trim tails from the time they are little. You only need to take the hair off of the end, anything past the tail bone and curve it slightly to blend. A dog cannot see behind them....so, everytime the hair on the end of the tail touches the ground, etc., they lift it, makes a hook in it. I have working dogs, but I like them to be structurally sound and I am an ear and tail nut!!LOL
