When I woke up on the morning of Oct 5, 2010 the ole man had died peacfully at the bottom of the cage by his food dish. He was 29 years old.. and for a cockatiel that is pretty old.
We will miss you. You had a good life....

His name was Gus...but for about the last 10 years old his life I called him "Ole Man"... he thought his name was Ole Man...lol
In the picture I posted he was 28 years old.

I sorry to hear about Gus, they are great birds, he did live a long life enjoyable life.

How very sad for you. RIP Ole Man. That is a long time to share together, I'm sure he is terribly missed.

So sorry for your loss. I have had tiels and macaws as companions and understand the bond that develops.
