Hi Bak!
Please define: "Best German Studs".
Best like in: "best dog"
or best like in: "most studjobs".
Or what do you mean by "major studs"?
The working line studs don't "jump" as much as the showmales do. A comparison for your discretion:
The BEST at the BSP 2005: ranking and their number of progeny registered until 3rd quarter 2005:
Platz BSP + Rüden Nachkommen
Rank BSP + Males Pups
1 1 Ellex vom Salztalblick 17
2 2 Quincy vom Waldwinkel -
3 3 Carlo von der Bösen Bruderschaft -
4 5 Balko vom Mörfelder Land -
5 6 Kalle vom Welzbachtal 5
6 7 Hirro vom Weinbergblick 10
7 8 Falco vom Güldenen Winkel 11
8 9 Veit vom Fuchsgraben 37
9 10 Ero von Armannsberg 8
10 11 Hunter vom Moosheider Teich 26
11 12 Yngo vom Kammberg -
12 13 Olex de Valsory 374
13 14 Gringo del Lupo -
14 16 Don von der Mönchhof-Kapelle -
15 17 Icks vom Stettenertal -
16 18 Nico vom Altbacher Wald -
17 19 Janoch von der Grube Waldecke 27
18 20 Jambo vom Schmiedegarten -
19 22 Falko vom Zäschkenhof 26
20 23 Xilan v. Haus Antverpa 13
You will notice these workinglines' studs (the BEST of the Bundessiegerprüfung 2005) don't (yet) have too much progeny. So, as I said, HOW will you define "best".
DO come back.

Do you mean dogs of the past or dogs standing at stud now?
The SV magazine lists the monthly breeding report for males.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the infos !
I agree with Jantie, the working studs don't pop up as the showmales do ! What I mean by best working studs are simply the best producers in terms of character,drives..etc..for example among one's male progeny how much have Shutz titles ? what about hip status ? Many of those informations are available through stats, others have to be picked up visiting breeders, going to shows...or exchanging with enthusiats on the web...By the way living in Senegal and working with Europe it's much easier for me during my business trips to visit some breeders or attend some shows rather than going to the States (though I MISS THE STATES ...)
