is this picture photoshopped? or does this males head and rear end actually look like this?

Moderator comment: This appears to be simply a distortion of the image such as is being caused once in a while by trying to fit images and content into this site.

I have seen several pictures of Geck, and he really does look like this picture shows him to look.  I could say many things about this dog, from my own perspective, but I will suffice it to say he is not my cup of tea, looks-wise.  Don't know what he works like, but I know I don't care for his looks.

The head is what I think first caught my attention.   From there it was his hind...I can't go on, because it's not fair to Geck's breeder.

Why do you guys are always critisizing dogs and breeders?

are any of you breeders???

what are your web sites??

Just look at what Geck produces, type, big boned, strong males, dark pigment, huge heads .............

or should all Shepherds look like yours in your logo, CrysBuck25 ,....if that was someone else's dog, what would

you say about him/her?

I have never owned a di Casa Nobili dog, but everyone that had can only say good things about them..and anyone

can tell you, TOR is a tremendous producer..of course nothing like yours in the logo

I am not critzing that dog or his breeder...I like him alot....I just said the pic looked blurry from the neck forward.....

FWIW, I  think  that dog in Crysbuck25's avatar is a blind rescue dog she took into her heart and life......I hope I got the right person and dog......If not I am sure I will be corrected...

So, Hmmmmmmmm go to wonder...doesn't mean anything.......the whole issue is for years I see a bunch of you guys talking about breeders..ohh how many litters they have in 2 months..oh look at that dog...etc...

some breeders, like di Casa Nobili had spent a lifetime trying to perfect what they breed, the dark pigment, excellent colors and type and other things...but a lot of people take breeders like a punchline and just add insults and inuendos...just stop it....if you were a breeder for 20-30 years, for 2 or 3 generations you will understand, but obviously most people here aren't , just get on this board and critize without having a clue.

Do you know how many people get on this web site and see eveything you write ??? PLEASE, just be more responsible......

AND unless you are a breeder and know what it takes, don't critize , when you become one, and you go through the pains and the problems, and the sleepless nights and the shows,etc..then you can, but I guarantee you, you won't, because you will realize how much work and dedication it takes.

This is not just from this post, I have seen it here time and time again

JDiaz,

Geck does have nice dark pigment, and good bone, that's for sure.  But his head is what I can't abide.  The first time I saw a photo of him, I thought I was looking at a Rottweiler head photoshopped with GSD coloring and ears.  There is too much of a stop, and his muzzle length is out of proportion to the skull, which should be equal length according to the standard.  If that's what you want to call perfection, then fine, but I have seen far better heads on dogs with equally good pigment.

As for the dog in my avatar, yes, she is the blind, SPAYED RESCUE that came into my heart and life.  She has her flaws, not the very least of which is her crooked ear.  But since I am not trying to sell puppies off of her, and I'm not touting her physical perfection, then I suppose it does not matter.  If I saw a breeder breeding a dog with the obvious flaws she has, I wouldn't be too pleased, but then again, she's a blind rescue dog that SOMEONE THREW AWAY, and was spayed so that she would never be bred.

There are a long list of flaws Oakley has...Ear, her muzzle is actually a little bit long, I think, she is way too tall, she has a steep forearm, the list goes on. But again, she's not a breeding dog.  And to me, she's perfect enough, because she's the perfect dog for me at this stage of my life.  It was meant to be.

You don't have to like my opinion on this dog, but I am entitled to it.  If it makes you feel better to insult my dog because you feel I have insulted Geck, then please be my guest.  I won't take offense, because you are also entitled to your opinion. The fact will always remain that I'm not trying to sell puppies off my girl; she's my pet, my friend, my pal.  That's all she is required to be, because she is not going to contribute to the future of the GSD breed, and Geck will.  Breeding dogs should be held to a much higher standard; not just in looks but in working ability.

Crys, and the Ugly Blind Oakley....

Moderator comment: K-9mom, you are correct. The site owner is having trouble with some images being distorted and is currently working to fix that glitch. There are, unfortunately, quite a few images that are distorted on the site.
