So, I'm curious, what does Chuligan bring to the table as far as linebreeding goes? Does anyone on here have dogs closely linebred on Chuligan? How'd they turn out?

by Gustav on 08 October 2010 - 13:10

Chuligan brings a structurally nice dog with a gorgeous head, and of course the black gene as he is black.

Gustav are you speaking from experience? Or with dogs who are linebred on him? I'm considering a breeding that will have 3-3 on Chuligan,  along with linebreeding on Emil, Alma, and Kaso z Pohranicni Straze.

I'm speaking from talking to numerous people that knew the dog in Czech republic and saw some of his progeny.

A stacked line breeding on Chuligan can bring teeth issues.

I have known Chuligan personally. Here is a  the picture I have taken:

I also have him on a video on one of my documentary DVDs.

This is another picture of him when he was young.
Chuligan  z PS (Pronounce Hooligan) is a legend amongst z Pohranicni straze foundation dogs. If you have him in the pedigree he will bring his toughness, presence , large bone, great hips and elbows. If really closely linebred he may produce missing teeth. It is a rare occurrence but it is there. I have seen it 2 or 3 times. There may be more but  keep in mind that Chuligan produced hundreds of dogs. 3-4 linebreeding should be no problem as far as missing teeth goes.  Please keep in mind that the only perfect dog without faults is a dog on whom you do not have enough data.
I personally would give my right arm for a dog who would produce consistently dogs like Chuligan. Chuligan was a Mr. GSD. I consider him one of 5  best foundation dogs I have personally known. If you look for as close to perfect Czech dog as you can than Chuligan is there right with Titus and Norbo Ben Ju and some others.
