Adreya

This is the heartbreaking reality of living in the country: people dump unwanted puppies on farm roads figuring someone will take them in. I can't even count all the pups and dogs I've rescued, and now these new ones have appeared. They are 3 of the most precious pups you'd ever see. One looks just like a panda and is tailess.

Sooo I have moved a doghouse onto my front porch and have been feeding them till they are about to pop. Tomorrow I will worm them, give shots, and look for homes. Hopefully, someone will take them before the coyotes eat them.

AAWWWW those are so adorable....unbelievable how people treat their dogs.  Best of luck finding new homes but with those looks I'm sure you will get takers.

If your taking care of them how could they be eaten by Coyotes?
It's your responsibility now.
Yeah people who dump dogs would not want to let me see them do it, I too live in the country.
Might break your heart but I would have already put them down.
Cute or not.

Moons,  really?  you would have already put them down?   Sorry, but that is heartless!  What reason would you give to put them down if nothing is wrong with them?

People really are selfish, irresponsible, uncaring jerks. The pups are SO adorable. I'm so glad you rescued them. Poor little pups didn't ask to born and then dumped and they sure do deserve a chance at life as much as any purebred registered dog.  I hope you find good, loving homes real soon.

starrchar,  I so agree!

They've already been tossed out of a car.
They are most definitely mutts.
I consider putting one in a cage at a shelter abuse, and taking one to the vet to be put down is just as terrifying to them in my opinion.
So they get passed out or adopted, then the adoptive new owners decide they don't want them when problems arise, and return them to the same country road or worst.
Then there is concern about spreading disease and parasites to my animals.
There are already too many out there now.
They would not even feel fear if I put them down my way.
It's not as heartless as you imagine.
We get this a couple of times a year around here, I've saved a couple.
But all in all, I'd have no problem doing what I think is right.

Adreya, you're an angel for saving those pups. Best of luck finding them good homes. They are adorable.

Adreya:  Where are you located?  I have a friend I used to work with looking for a rescue as she just had to pts her 13 year old dog.  She is located in Vermont.
