anyone know the breeder?  found on my local CL, pretty dark blk/red male pup. 5 months old, but they don't bond with male dogs?
mom is Elza Powerhaus, dad is a light sable male named Argon with a BH, http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/521153.html

That male pup would be a full sibling to this bitch, then, although it may be a different litter since there's no DOB shown for her:

Would Elza vd PowerHaus have come from the kennel of recently-resigned PDB moderator Vickie "PowerHaus", perhaps?   Maybe she knows who has Elza at present and would have been the breeder of this pup?

Uber Land, can you post the CL link for the pup?

I can't believe I'm getting involved in this BS, because.....franklly,  I've come to realize that most (not all)....but most that post here make me sick.  You pass these dogs around like used cars.  Bad example.  Used cars usually have two owners and aren't living, breathing wonderful creatures.  I've read these threads for over 5 years.....and have posted for four, (although you'd never know it since most of my posts were on threads that saw the highway).  I'm miffed at the moment.......and me miffed is not a pretty sight.

I bothered to look up Elza.  From what I detected........and it was detective oriented....no question.  The female in question was born in April'05. Just turned a year....was bred and had a litter about July'06.  Studied the 'client's page' on Vickie's ex partner(?) webpage and deduced she had AT LEAST 5 litters with her.  Then she advertizes a litter for May'10.  I find that litter being advertized on another website with another breeder who now has Elza.  Five years old and AT LEAST 6 litters.  For all I kow there could be more.  Can't check it out now.  Can no longer access the ex partner's client page. (Sorry! This page is currently unavailable..... is shown).

Uberland.  You want to find the breeders?  Not me.

Sad, for sure, but not surprising. Pretty typical of hillbilly  (sorry- that's offensive to all decent rednecks who would never do this to a dog, lol)  BYB (but the kind that think they're not) breeding mentality. Let's take dogs who had some good bloodlines way back when and throw them together and pretend like we're real breeders. The worst part is when they have a lot of working ability from those bloodlines, but no one who can handle them would want them because of the low-class circumstances in which they were bred- no titles for several generations, no real goal in mind, no health certs, etc.

Now, I'm the last person to say all titled dogs are breedworthy and no untitled dogs should be bred, BUT because of this perception by many that all breedworthy dogs should be titled, I would never breed from more than 1 gen. untitled. Maybe one parent isn't titled; if not, then don't breed the offspring until that parent is titled, or the offspring is titled, etc. That way, you may have one or two untitled dogs in a ped, but not solid generations of untitled dogs. IMO, this helps ensure good homes for the dogs...not homes that post them on CL b/c they don't care and only paid $500 for them. Turns my stomach, really.

I know I'm rambling, but these kinds of posts make me wonder what really should be done to minimize this.

LMH, took your cue and now I see what you're referring to...the page for this litter on the 'former partner's' site is still accessible as a cached page, and the site for the actual breeder of this litter is completely accessible...

Perhaps the breeder is the one who has the pup listed on CL in the first place, in which case there's no need to notify them about it.

I suggest that a web search for Leckhaus German Shepherds and another for Gang Shepherds will provide the answers to any questions, Uber.

Just want to clarify that I NEVER bred Elza......Leckhaus had her since she was about 7 months old or so and sold Elza probably about a year ago.  I did like her temperament and I could not bond with her.

This is very sad....if this pup needs a home I would foster him/her till neuter/spaying is done and find a proper home.  I believe that the sire could never get his SchH1 because he wouldnt track.

LMH,

The only thing I partnered with with Leck Haus was with Darko and she asked me to take a litter of pups and sell them for her because they scared her fawns(she raises white tail deer and sells the fawns) or something like that....those puppies were dumped on me from 5 weeks of age (which I TOTALLY did not agree with) till they were 7 months old!  They got parvo shortly after coming to me and I treated and saved everyone except 2 and I was never compensated for my veterinary expenses.  I got noise complaints from my neighbors.....5 seven month old puppies are NOISY so told her I had to bring them back to her......she said she would just put them down in a week if she couldn't sell them!  She also got pretty pissed when she wanted to breed either Que or Zeta to Darko she the bitch was only 10 months old (her 1st heat)....I said NO WAY!  Our relationship went down hill from there!

We were not partners in any other way and Darko and ALL his paperwork was returned to her due to personal issues on my end, per our contract I was entitled to 1/2 of his sale price when she sold him but I never asked for it...I was too devastated, loosing Darko.......the money didn't matter.
