Prager

Duke was a dog which should have been put down when he was young, because he bit people coming onto hi property. That was when I have rescue him. Then some think that he should have been PTS because he had bad hips. And then they told me that we should have put him down 3 years ago because he is too old and can not walk well.
I thought that he will live for ever.....
But we all die and Duke told me that he is ready to go last week. He  was all his life surrounded by love, care and respect regardless what a bad ass he was. I remember that about week before we put him to sleep he got into serious fight with another dog and won.  I did not know  that he still had it in him and I let my guard down. I was not angry with him,.. I admired and respected him. I would like to be like Duke and die like him in at least 98 years of age kicking ass. That is my dream. I have learned a lot from this good old Samurai BIG "D". What ever we believe in he is better off now. And if there is a God as I believe, I am sure he gave him glorified body and led him over the rainbow into happy grounds where he will kick ass and take names and wait for us with all our other dogs.
So love your dogs while they are here. Some go early and some go later, but they all go to soon here.

RIP Big D.  You da Man!  Sorry for your loss Hans & Debbie.  No matter when they go, it will always be too soon.  Bless you for taking him in and loving him until the end.  He couldn't have picked a better rescuer!

It,s hard when old friends pass on but as long as you hold his memory he will never really be gone just away for a time.

I can't read the text, the picture is all the way across the screen and the ads are on top of the text.  Am I the only one with this problem?
