I have a 4 1/2 month old male pup, he is a picky eater, so I was told to put him on taste of the wild.  Giving his age which formula would you recommend.  Your advise and opinions are appreciated.  Thank you

This is opinion, not advice.  I also have a picky eater and know the frustration of finding the right food.  We've gone the gamut, from various kibbles to raw and back to kibble.  TOTW was not one we stuck with, another he wasn't thrilled about eating and he also had loose stool.  I now feed Orijen and he is asking to be fed!  He's healthy, his coat is shiny, his stool is great and we're both happy.  I also know people who are happy with Acana, a little less expensive and made by the same company.

TOTW worked great on most of my dogs, though I don't feed all of them it anymore it was getting costly.  One dog didn't do so well on it, but the other 4 did great.  Shiny coats,  stools were good, and they didn't require a lot of it.  My German Shepherd though ate it like a pig and couldn't put on weight......switched him to a different food and he ate less and gained the weight he should be at for his age.  Mine did well on the TOTW Salmon.  The one with Bison was too rich for my guys and they had loose runny stools every single day.  I never tried the one with Duck.....I know they have Lamb now also.

I've been feeding mine a mix of the canned TOTW and Orijen Kibble.  Usually about 1/2 can per feeding mixed with a reduced amount of the Orijen. He was strictly on Orijen but he was a lazy eater  tending to nibble all day on the kibble, since I started combining the 2 it's all gone in one sitting.  So far he is doing good with no issues.

like gsdtravels, i do not recommend totw either.  we gave it a more than fair chance and it failed every time.  if you only have 1 or 2 (few) dogs, try to give them the best you can afford.  orijen is kind of high in protein for a pup, as is evo.  but acana and innova have some formulas better suited.  i would even recommend blue buffalo over totw.  if you check previous posts, you will find that several of us have found anything produced by diamond pet foods to be inconsistent and dogs frequently suffer bouts of diarrhea.

I,ve been feeding up to 6 dogs on TOTW for over 2 years and have had nothing but good results young dogs to 14 year olds. Good coats, good food drives,Solid small stools,  never a issue. And never a bad vet check. I switched from RC because of too much inconsistencey with how they preformed on it.

It's all about what works for your dog.  What's good for one is bad for another.

I'm back to TOTW, trying the new lamb formula. I can get it dirt cheap from a friend, is the only reason I am even going there again. My cats do great on the feline formula but I have been less than thrilled with Diamond products in the past. Hopefully I can stick with it for awhile and save some $. So far so good, they transfered without bouts of the runs, poops are darker and larger than when on Healthwise. Not sure why since it is given a higher rating?

We have six dogs, ages ranging from 7 months to 9 years, all on TOTW and look great. I rotate formulas.
