Would you say this female and this male be a good match together in the future?

Female : currently 5 months old and 50lbs

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/677394.html

Male : currently 7 months old and about 85 lbs. ( his dad looks better than the picture )

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/667979.html

If the male is already about 85 lbs at 7 months old, how much would you guess he'd weigh at a grown age?

Thanks for the opinion, if there's any.

Hope you do not mind me asking why you think that the weight of these two puppies has any bearing on their suitability as a breeding pair? Also, is this a different female puppy to the one you have advertised for sale here on the database?

People will share their opinions.......but you won't like them I'll say that....

Most people DO NOT understand how to breed and/or what they're breeding for...My first question to people that want to breed is "What is your goal for breeding"...I mean are you breeding for ShowLines...Workinglines....? And are you breeding to produce Show Dogs...Working Dogs...such as Police/Street Dogs...Sport Dogs...What? If you can't answer this question with any kind of positive answer then you shouldn't be breeding...
There are at least 2 distinct Lines in the German Shepherd...Showlines and Working Lines...Do you know the difference and then there are some that want to breed Showlines and Workking Lines together...and in my opinion this is an even harder thing to accomplish and to know what you're doing...I feel there are even less people qualified to know what they're doing in this type of breeding...
So please before you even consider breeding...think about what your doing and what your goals are...

Yes, these are the same pups that she advertises. Says she is breeding them next year, hurry get on the wait list. We have 2 threads on that already. *sigh*

No these are not the puppies Ilisted up for sale.

The female was not up for sale from me. She was just recently purchsed.

I don't even own the male yet. The main thing I wanted to know was how much would the male puppy weigh at an older age? ( by just guessing )

If you care... no they are not a match at all. Too much inconsistency in both parents already.

If you dont care .... perfect match... one a boy - the other a girl.

Weight wise they seem both too high. Average male should be in lower 80's when mature, females around 70's. But they will weigh as much as you are feeding them.

Maybe you should stick to minature horses.

Spay and neuter your dogs and enjoy them as your pets.

LOL Birdy!

I like the bitch's father line, but not the mother line. (show/working cross). The boy is a bit large---is he becoming part of your miniature horse breeding project?  <grin>

I can tell you the size on the male pup of 85 lbs at 7+ or 8 months is too much weight ...... maybe he needs to be thinned a bit .................. I owned "ALK vom Osterburg Quell"  which goes back in the pedigree and his weight while on the street and in the championships was 85 lbs max ....................... although I had relative success with having breedings to show line bitches that come to me turned out not so bad for the work but it would not be my personal choice. Regards ,............................................  Greg
