Is it possible to have a breed survey done on a dog with a Mondioring title instead of a SchH or HGH title?
If the dog knows "enough" schutzhund to pass the performance test and all the other required prerequisites could it happen....?
Thanks

Don't see where the rules would allow for that. After all, Schutzhund is of German origin so it's illogical that any organization following the SV system or its derivatives would accept a different sort of working title, especially one without tracking.

Thanks for the reply Donald - I did not think it possible but worth asking....
from the USMRA website:
from the USMRA website:
"Mondioring is an F.C.I.-authorized international protection sport developed in the late 1980s by representatives from every major country with a protection sport. So not that it means it should but I was curious if MR could or would ever be accepted, just a thought
The "new" dogsport was designed to "level the playing ground" and allow competitors from any of the world’s disciplines to compete in a common dog sport. French Ring, Belgian Ring, IPO (SchH) and KNPV all were represented. The result is a dog sport that combines the best of all of these sports: Mondioring. "

I suppose anything's possible! But remember too that in terms of a breed survey, the requirement of a passing Schutzhund score isn't there for its sport attributes, but rather for breed suitability - as is the case with the HGH title as well.

No, it's not possible. You need to present your score card, so you need SchH titles with the required minimum scores. The dog could pass the courage tests during the breed survey but still needs the "right" title.

No Sorry it is not possible, Besides the ScH1 title at the very least which includes the 3 Phases you will need a Show Grading, and an AD test before you can go for a breed survey Korclasse

Steve, I seem to recall reading somewhere that a dog with an HGH title doesn't have to perform the AD test to be eligible for a breed survey.
Makes sense, when you think about how much trotting a herding dog has to do.

Also if a dog is over 6 the USA site says the AD requirement of the Breed Survey is waived.

Well i cannot argue with some thing i do not know regarding how it works in your country and yes, i think a Herding Dog would be qualified, he will run more than 20 kms for sure

If a Dog is over 6 years old, is it really worth having it breed survey tested at that age, It is like sending me off to the clinic to see if i am still Fertile at my age, but then i know it to be true and okay so i do not need testing
, but you get my meaning
Never the less the person asking cannot get away without the Show Grade or the ScH1
