Hey Guys and Gals,
I received this from the officer that adopted Tineke from me...if you all remember. She was a retired border patrol dog that the retired officer's wife dumped in the shelter...because of a fight with their pit bull over some turkey thrown to them, after serving 6 years with the guy...I loved this dog, she was the sweetest dog and even good with cats.
The other rescues wouldn't take her in because she had protection work previously, so she was slated to be euthanized....STeph

Wonderful story! Congratulations on a job well done, Steph. It's so nice to see a good dog get a second chance. You truly are an angel.

Thanks GSD Travels, this one brought tears to my eyes when I read it...it was really hard giving up this dog, she was a special one. But she needed to go where she would be appreciated more, and she was able to help this officer and his department get into K9...Thanks, Steph

It may have been hard, but it has to be so rewarding when you see such success! It also renewed the officer's interest and they seem like the perfect match. Pass the tissue, please.
