"Investigation Victory: Just one week after PETA released the results of its shocking undercover investigation of North Carolina–based contract animal testing facility Professional Laboratory and Research Services, Inc. (PLRS) and filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), PLRS is surrendering nearly 200 dogs and dozens of cats and shutting its doors for good. This is a monumental victory and the first time that a laboratory has been forced to surrender animals and close under pressure on the heels of a PETA investigation and while facing a formal USDA investigation" - http://www.peta.org/features/professional-laboratory-and-research-services.aspx

There is a video also on the news story page of the investigation where they pull a cat's claws out by using the cattery wire on the side of its cage and they pull a dog's teeth out while he is can still feel it cause they used exipired drugs on him. They also burnt and blinded cats to test for flea treatment.

I'm sure PETA is thrilled to death that they've done something to look like good guys instead of the bats*** crazy terrorist organization they are. While I don't agree with unnecessary and/or inhumane animal testing, PETA rarely does any real good for animals. I am glad the animals have removed from those conditions.

A personal favorite of mine:

I don't think you're going to get too much kudos for the WONDERFUL work of P*TA.  Had they gotten the animals, they would've euthanized them in the back of a van.  Sorry, just can't muster anything good to say about them.

I have ZERO...let me repeat ZERO!!!!! respect for an organization who compares Thanks Giving to the Holocaust.   I truly hope they turn that Lady's ass (the head Ingrid Newkirk) into an umbrella stand (per her own request mind you).  I would be the first to stick it in....A**wipes.  Her antics have done more to undermine the promotion of animal rights then any person in existence.

Like i said to one reply in another post. Yeah they are a bit mad and maybe their not an ideal group to agree with but if they have saved just one life from pain then they have done their job.

Like all humans and organisations they have their own views but that doesnt mean we cant praise their actions when they do actual good in this world.

I think someone on this post or another, mentioned humanity being called a cancer to this world. Yeah it was a harsh thing to be called but we are a "cancer" we populate one area, destroy it so then we move on to another area destroy it and so on.... We are killing this planet so i can understand where someone is coming from when they call Humanity a cancer. Though they could of used nicer terms.

I wont feel bad or feel like i did wrong for showing the users of pedigree database that peta did some actual good and if i discover they do more good in the future then i will post it also.

After doing a little googling and yes some of their words can be manipulating into sounding like they mean there should be laws to stop all ownership but i aint found a quote that says that but i did find; "PETA argues that it would have been better for animals had the institution of breeding them as "pets" never emerged, that the desire to own and receive love from animals is selfish, and that their breeding, sale, and purchase can cause immeasurable suffering. They write that millions of dogs spend their lives chained outside in all weather conditions or locked up in chain-link pens and wire cages in puppy mills, and that even in good homes animals are often not well cared for. They would like to see the population of dogs and cats reduced through spaying and neutering, and for people never to purchase animals from pet shops or breeders, but to adopt them from shelters instead" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People_for_the_Ethical_Treatment_of_Animals

So thats why your all against them.... enough said

So, if nobody purchases dogs or cats from breeders, and all adopted animals are spayed and neutered, how long do you think it will be before there are no more breeding animals?  And if there are no breeding animals, there will be no animals.  THAT is the ultimate goal of this orgainization.  Go ahead and pat them on the back all you want, not many here will join you.

You need to do some more googling.

Bull***, geordie.

PETA's goal is the elimination of ALL domestic animals.   ALL.  Do you have a dog?  A cat?  Get rid of 'em.  "Return them to the wild," and, as Peta says, if they die, they die.  A few will survive and that will be the way nature intended.

Peta is also classified by the U.S. government as "special interest domestic terrorists."  In addition, they have been proven to help fund ALF, which is on the FBI list of terrorist organizations.
