FHTracker, you are spot on. She was having some grip isuues for while, I suspect it is because she was a very late teether. One little tooth only showed it's face a few weeks ago! Since then she is making definite improvement, and I bought her a bite pillow so I can work on it, too. Hopefully she continues to improve and in another month or two I'll have more progression to show.
I was told privately I am not doing something right with my leash, but I had hard time understanding what they meant. Any feedback on that? My last dog was so natural in all aspects I think a chimp could have titled her.
I have wanted a new pup for a few years now and she is so fun. I foresee learning a lot from her about sport training. It's a shift from the behavioral work I do for a living.

As for your leash, all I can see is that you're not being a good 'pole' when the helper is giving her misses. You want to stand up, put your back hand into the small of your back, just behind your hip and be solid, rather than giving and taking with her like you are.
Right now, while she's small it probably doesn't seem a problem but in the future when she gets stronger, she could surprise you, pull you forward (or to the ground) and tag the helper when he's not prepared.
