A tribute to God's most noble, devoted and loyal creatures.
Small advertisement in the beginning but a great video.

Raymond, I second that!
I was at Ground Zero about a week after it happened. To say it was awful can't even begin to describe how bad it was - it was like looking into hell. One of the SAR teams, a GSD and his person came out for a break -everyone standing there broke out into applause for them, shook the handler's hand, thanking him and gave lots of love to the dog. Then, they went back to work. Sadly, many of those tireless magnificent animals have suffered the same effects from the exposure to the toxic chemicals in the air, just as the human rescuers have. I know of two teams (a GSD and a Lab) who both have lost their dogs at relatively young ages from exposure related problems. We need to remember them all - those that perished that day and those who went in and brougth back many them to their families. They are all heros.
