Feel free to contact me privately if you wish

Thanks,

p.s.
I have emailed his owner but I also want opinions from the field.

-Approvals report-

Medium in size, rich in content, strong, dry and that very good expression, stretch, very good character. Good Withers, straight back, something short, slightly downhill Croup. Well angulated advantages and hindquarters, balanced breast conditions, proper front. Straight tretend, spacious, powerful course. Safe nature, TSB pronounced; leaves.

Thank you Max - have you seen him in person?  (just realized that sounds kind of funny when talking about a dog...)

There is lots of information about him on his owners web site.

What I'm really looking for is some first hand experince with him or his progeny.

I might just have to hop on a plane and take a little european "vacation"

dawgesome,

Take me with you......I have seen some Troll sons, none look this good,
in conformation.

I think we are now entering into the age of the German Shepherd world wide. And the breed
as a group is starting to look very impressive. I think if people would come here to learn and not argue,
than there is several really good dogs that could be critiqued.

The problem is not going over the heads of the new people to the breed.  If we were to talk
about great dogs out of Germany in the last 10 years I think it would be very educational.
A trip to Germany without leaving your computer, the next best thing.

To those who don't know about Troll, Ajax father, he is a big deal with working dog lines
out of Germany.

Anybody else have anything to say about this dog or what he has produced?

by Preston on 13 September 2010 - 00:09

Let's face the facts.  So many WL GSDs have fabulous working temperament and have been selectively bred for Sch. competition only (ie a large proportion of them).  And a fair proportion are hyperactive nerve endings, prey driven monsters not really suitable for 24/7 in home pets.  But there are some well known exceptions and V-Ajax is one.  But other factors make him even more exceptional.  He just happens to be a very correct GSD as far as conformation and also just happens to be a real producer.  He has produced at least two male progeny which are also tops in conformation as well as temperament.  This is the ideal GSD,  the golden middle, a GSD with correct liveable temperament.  And now we have a fair number of SV V-rated conformation GSDs which have incorrect backs, faulty temperament, and overall incorrect conformation due to kennel blindness and a gradual judging shift over the last 20 years.  This type of GSD like V-Ajax and his excellent male progeny can help correct these problems in the showlines if they are selectively bred in judiciously.

thank you, dawg & preston for restoring my faith in this discussion board.  sometimes, when i check in here, i go away so disgusted that i vow i won't come back.  discussions such as this are what everyone can learn from and what truly benefits the breed.  some of that other ridiculous chatter needs to be taken elsewhere.....not to this discussion board.
