An Old Cherokee Indian and the Tale of Two Wolves:

One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: ‘Which wolf wins?’
The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’

I think each and every one of us has these two wolves running around inside us. The Evil wolf or the Good Wolf is fed daily by the choices we make with our thoughts. What you think about and dwell upon will in a sense appear in your life and influence your behavior.

We have a choice, feed the Good Wolf and it will show up in our character, habits and behavior positively. Or feed the Evil Wolf and our whole world will turn negative: like poison, this will slowly eat away at our soul.
The crucial question is “Which are you feeding today”?

I always try to feed the good wolf, sometimes it's a little hard to do, sometimes the evil wolf steals the food in a moment of confusion. Take the road that gets you where you want to go, the other road is a dead end.

My Medicine Man speaks the truth........ The High Road always seems to be the most honorable and less confused...  But the evil  wolfs' way  seems to be the most rewarding...   But I know,  in the end,  the Evil Wolf has no pack to follow him.  He has eatened their feet off as well...   He has not offered them anything but empty promises and in the end - It is a DARKENED WOOD - no lights to follow.........The evil wolf kicks the pack in the head.....I guess the evil wolf feeds in me tonight.. But, tomorrow - I hope the good wolf will be back and able to feed on honor...

The young Cherokee boy went to his Grandfather for some answers. He said, "Grandfather, I hear you are the one that names all of the tribe members. How do you come up with the names? The granfather replied, "Well it is easy. When the parents bring their child I look to the Earth. If I see eagles flying, it will be called Soaring Eagles. Why do you ask, Two Dogs Fucking?"

The high road is certainly less travelled.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I¿ I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
